Yes, the 1969 Mets truly were amazin' but the 2007 Mets were not. HAHAHA. What a finish for those Fightin' Phils! I was in Jersey last night and had the joy of listening to WFAN for about 90 minutes and boy was it hilarious! It was the best 90 minutes of comedy ever! Mets fans say this is the biggest collapse ever, even bigger than the '64 Phillies. Awesome! What a great job by the Phillies for FINALLY not rolling over and dying in September! Awesome!

Nein, die Menschenfeindlichkeit entspricht 'misanthropy' auf Englisch. Deutsche Wortzusammensetzungen, die auf '-keit' auslauten, sind jedesmal Abstrakta. Also stimmt 'contentious bastard' nicht, weil 'Scheisskerl' ein Konkretum ist. Das sollte ganz klar sein... e_e

I doubt you are one so I was trying to be funny. Just because I am not Wilbur Wright or Bozo the Clown doesn't mean I can't be funny too. har har

Indeed, I exert a very strenuous effort to show disdain for humanity, but that's not the point. '-keit' words in German are always abstract nouns, much like the lovely '-het':s and '-ship':s and '-skap':s.
As I like to say, mein Deutsch ist nicht so gut. Four years of high school German is hard to remember after 20+ years and I don't even know if that translates exactly either. Ich spreche ein bisschen Deutsch; zu mich sprechen sie English, bitte. Again, I doubt that really translates to what I want it too. I need a big-time refresher. However, if I take the time, I would probably be better off learning Spanish instead of being refreshed in German.

I forgot most of my knowledge of German as well and took it up again only a few days ago. Since knowing three foreign Germanic languages would become tedious, Finnish, rather than Icelandic, will be the next on my list. It's one of the only (modern) languages worth learning that isn't Germanic.
Latin is cool but almost no one outside the Catholic Church speaks it anymore. Vulgar Romance languages are really so meh. Same case with the Indo-Iranian group; Sanskrit is cool, but Hindi, Pashto, Bengali ... meh.
Oh and by the way, Irish orthography is TERRIBLE.
